Spectrum Health System is a not-for-profit, integrated, managed health care system based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The system was created in 1997 and originally was comprised of the two largest hospitals in Grand Rapids, Butterworth and Blodgett. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, Spectrum Health today is comprised of nine hospitals of varying sizes scattered throughout western Michigan.
